Principal's Message Winter, 2011
A Note from the Principal
Happy New Year and Welcome Back!
Dear Blue Ridge Families-
2011 is ringing in with frigid weather! It is always great to see the students dressed in coats, hats, and gloves. They enjoy playing outside. We will continue to get fresh air and exercise so please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. Your help is appreciated!
I received word that some of our new playground equipment has arrived! The installation process will begin in late spring and continue through the summer. Blue Ridge students and staff are grateful for the donations that made this project come to life!
As we begin the second half of the school year, teachers and support staff at Blue Ridge are ready! With our Platooning and dual language programs well underway, students are making academic progress. In addition, teachers have reflected on best teaching practices and continue to refine their instruction to meet the needs of all students. Your children are in good hands!
To celebrate the success of Platooning in grades 3rd through 5th, Blue Ridge staff will be presenting to the school board on Tuesday, January 18th at 6:30 pm. Please join us if you are able!
As always, my door is open to you. I want to hear any concerns, suggestions and/or joys you may have about your child and/or Blue Ridge Elementary.
Sincerely,
Kim Doepker
