Blue Ridge News, Events & Reminders

Welcome Back!

School Resumes Tuesday, September 2nd. Please drop off school supplies the first day of school. The front office will open August 18th. Current school supply lists are located on the sidebar on this webpage under the heading "Quick Links". We look forward to the 2014-15 school year!

Slow Down in School Zones

Motorists are reminded school starts Tuesday, September 2. The speed limit in school zones is 20 mph. Additional police patrols will be in place in school zones to start the year. Please stay off your cell phones and don’t text while driving. We appreciate your support as we work together to keep everyone safe.

Open House Planned

Come meet your child's teacher Thursday, September 18th at 6:00 pm.

Preparing for Back To School

Studies show that children who get the recommended 10 hours of sleep each night perform better in school. Getting back to a schedule after summer break can be hard. Experts suggest moving your child's bedtime up by 15 minutes each night until they are back to their regular school schedule.

Blue Ridge Sparkles and Shines!

Blue Ridge Custodial Staff goes above and beyond each summer (and indeed throughout the school year) to make sure that students enjoy a clean and safe school. In addition these hardworking folks help teachers move classrooms, re-arrange classroom furniture, and they do everything with smiles and great attitudes! A special thanks to Brent Beiloh, Karen Bannerman, and Chris Zink for their tireless work and amazing dedication to students, staff, and families!
