Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

Students were treated to the taste of Jerusalem artichokes (or sunchokes) the week of January 19th. Jerusalem artichokes are native to North America and are a member of the thistle family, alhough they are not an artichoke. Their name derives from their flavor, which some describe as tasting like an artichoke. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is funded through the USDA. We are lucky to be able to participate and students learn a great deal about fruits and vegetables. We thank our kitchen staff for preparing these tasty treats several times per week!

Spirit Day

Wear your pajamas to school Friday, January 30th.

BR Kids Embrace New Technology

Blue Ridge students (and staff) have been embracing new technology with the use of a new Chrome book mobile lab. Students can write papers for writing class, visit science and math websites, and even take assessments on these new computers. Students are so excited to use the technology. Blue Ridge would like to extend a huge "Thank You" to the WWPS Technology Department for their hard work getting these items student ready and for answering many questions.
