Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Program

Students and staff had the opportunity to taste fresh plums. Plums grow in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Their fleshy fruit surrounds a single seed, and they are known as a drupe. Plums are cultivated in many parts of the world, and their remains have been found in archeological sites dating back to the Neolithic age. The Fresh Fruits and Vegetables program is made possible by the USDA.

Turkey Trot - November 25th

Blue Ridge students and staff are practicing their running in preparation for the annual Turkey Trot to be held on Wednesday, November 25th. Organized by PE teacher, Bryan Eggert, this is a fun filled event with exercise, prizes, and a guest appearance by a turkey! A tradition since the opening of Blue Ridge Elementary, everyone looks forward to Turkey Trot.
