State Survey on Transportation

The Washington State Departments of Health and Transportation are conducting a short telephone survey of parents at Blue Ridge, Edison, Garrison Middle School, Pioneer Middle School, and Prospect Point. The survey asks how students travel to and from school. The information will be used to improve student transportation. The survey is voluntary. For more information, contact Charlotte Claybrooke at the Department of Transportation (360) 705-7302.

2nd Graders Hosting Crayola Marker Recycling Drive

2nd Graders in Ms. Thonney's and Mr. Hobbs' classrooms are hosting a marker recycling drive in honor of Earth Day. Students presented a "How To" to other classrooms,  and will collect, tally, and prepare the collected markers to ship back to the Crayola Company. Crayola melts and refines the used markers into fuel. It takes 308 markers to make 1 gallon of fuel.

BR Volunteer Honored with Regier Award

Bunny Argone received the Art Regier Volunteer award for 2013-2014. We at Blue Ridge adore "Miss Bunny" and are so excited that she was recognized for her outstanding service.(The Art Regier Outstanding Volunteer Award was instituted in 1991 as a memorial to “Grandpa Art” Regier. Regier, a retiree who devoted years of service to elementary schools in Walla Walla, epitomized the spirit of volunteerism in education.)
